Another bank holiday is upon us, the last of this year in fact, making it an important date in many people’s calendars.

Lots of families have returned from their summer holidays abroad and the kids are getting ready to go back to school, so this bank holiday should be one to remember. After all you owe it to yourself to have one last good time before Christmas. Let’s just hope the British weather holds out!

If you’re still wondering on what to do or haven’t had chance to plan anything then don’t panic. AttractionTix has some great ideas to keep the whole family entertained on this extended weekend from parks and attractions all over the UK.

Buckingham Palace

What better time to visit Buckingham Palace? After the world celebrated the Royal Wedding, we can now see that famous Royal wedding dress, designed by Sarah Burton, with our own eyes at Buckingham Palace. The Dress takes centre stage in the Ballroom during the annual Summer Opening. You will be able to see the dress in its entirety, including the Cartier ‘Halo’ tiara, the hand-made Alexander McQueen shoes and the diamond earrings commissioned by the Middleton family.

The dress is only on display for a limited time, so this could be your last chance to catch a glimpse of it in the perfect surroundings of Buckingham Palace. This day out is a perfect experience for families who watched the wedding or have their own little princesses!

Warwick Castle

Take a step back in time to medieval Britain and explore the dungeons and hallways of Warwick Castle. As you step through the castle gates you will be able to witness events that took place in the castle hundreds of years ago from jousting, archery, sword battles and a trebuchet that really works.

Live actors and cast members make it feel like you were actually there during the castle’s golden age and with so much to see and do this is one day out you won’t forget.

Cadbury World

Who doesn’t love chocolate? Cadbury World is the top attraction for chocoholics and is perfect for the whole family. Located in Bournville, Birmingham you will walk into the world of chocolate and find out how Cadbury’s came into being and how they make the best chocolate in the world.

If that wasn’t enough, you can also explore the World’s largest Cadbury store with everything you could possible imagine from souvenirs to your favourite chocolate. Crème eggs? Flakes? Dairy Milk Bars? They’re all here for you to choose from, so why not indulge yourself this bank holiday….just this once?

Sea Life Centres

Discover the wonders of the sea in one of many Sea Life centres across the country. This is a brilliant addition to any family day out and lets you see exotic marine life that you wouldn’t normally see such as sea turtles, sharks and manta rays. This is a brilliant educational experience as you will explore the underwater world of the Sea Life centre as fish and other marine life swim around you.

You can find Sea Life centres around the country in Blackpool, Brighton, Birmingham, Great Yarmouth and Weymouth.

Don’t forget to explore the AttractionTix site for even more great ideas and deals for the bank holiday. Whatever you decide to get up to this weekend, we all hope you have a great time!
