The Kinect: Disneyland Adventures game takes place in a virtual recreation of the Disneyland California theme park, allowing users to immerse themselves in this magical world from the comfort of their own living rooms.

Kinect’s technology means that the game is controlled by your own body movements rather than with a console, so you and your virtual character (created at the start of the game) can explore the park, which is realistically filled with kids dragging their parents to and fro to various rides, as well as many familiar Disney faces!

The game itself involves completing various activities within the park’s open world environment, and also boarding the Disneyland ‘rides’, which see you participating in Disney-themed mini-games.

As you explore the park, you’re bound to run into various famous Disney faces, with whom you can interact in just the same way as you might if you were actually physically at the park, such as hugging, dancing, high-fives and taking photographs. The first character you’ll encounter is Mickey Mouse himself, who will issue you with a series of quests such as autograph-hunting, taking photographs or helping out other Disney characters.

As well as the quests, you’ll also get the opportunity to take part in some of the park’s themed attractions, such as playing croquet with Alice in Wonderland or flying through night-time London on the way to Neverland with Peter Pan.

In addition to this, you can simply navigate your way through the park gathering collectibles and interacting with various characters and objects.

The attention to detail in this game combined with the interactive gameplay aspect of Kinect means that, whether you’ve actually been to Disneyland or not, you’ll feel as if you’re really there!
