“Cars Land” Zooms into Disneyland California for 2012

Disneyland California welcomes its newest addition, Cars Land, due to open in Summer 2012. This new 12-acre land is based on the Disney Pixar animated film “Cars” and will be the largest park at the Disneyland Resort.

Located in the heart of the Disney California Adventure Park, Cars Land will feature a host of “Cars”- themed rides and attractions, as well as plenty of opportunities for dining and shopping. It is rumoured to be the centrepiece of a $1 billion-plus transformation of the California theme park.

Cars Land’s attractions are designed to really get the adrenaline pumping. You’ll be whipped around behind a baby tractor at Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree, Luigi’s Flying Tires will see you whirling and gliding on air, and experience third-generation Test Track technology at Radiator Springs Racers, a 6-acre attraction which combines storytelling with racing thrills of up to 40 miles per hour.

Fans of the movie can also look forward to meeting favourites such as Lightning McQueen, Tow Mater and other characters from the town of Radiator Springs.
