PortAventura opened its newest rollercoaster, Shambhala, on the 12th May. This highly anticipated ride has beaten three European records including the highest rollercoaster in Europe at 76 metres, the longest fall at 78 metres and the fastest, reaching speeds of 134km/h. This puts Shambhala into a league of its own as a hypercoaster.

Rollercoaster fanatics will also get to experience an effect called air time, where you can lose contact with your seat as the carriages travel over 5 camelbacks.

We can’t wait to try it out. Could you be daring enough to try out this thrilling new ride at PortAventura?
