The 22nd of April 2009 marks the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII’s accession to the throne. There will be a new Pass, the Henry VIII Royal Pass that will be dedicated to marking the lasting legacy of the mighty monarch with permanent representations, temporary exhibitions and thought-provoking debate.

  • Choose from the London Royal Palaces Pass, the 3 Royal Palaces Pass, the 4 Royal Palaces Pass or to celebrate the 500th anniversary of his accession to the throne, the Henry VIII Palace Pass.  Each allows one admission to the included palaces any time within a 2 year period from the date of purchase.

The Central London Royal Palaces Pass

  • Includes admission to Kensington Palace, the Tower of London and Banqueting House.

The 3 Royal Palaces Pass

  • Includes admission to Hampton Court Palace and gardens, Kensington Palace and the Tower of London.

The 4 Royal Palaces Pass

  • Includes admission to Hampton Court Palace and gardens, Kensington Palace, the Tower of London and Banqueting House.

The Henry VIII Palace Pass

Henry VIII Palace Pass – Feature Exhibitions

  • This special pass, designed to celebrate the 500th Anniversary of Henry VIII's accession to the throne, allows admission to 3 Royal Palaces and their dedicated Henry VIII exhibitions. Enjoy the Tower of London showing Henry VIII: Dressed to Kill from 3rd April to 17 Jan 2010. Visit Hampton Court Palace with its new 3 part exhibition, Henry VIII: Heads and Hearts. And discover Banqueting House, which after a devastating fire in 1698, is the only surviving part of Whitehall Palace where Henry VIII died.

Hampton Court Palace Gardens

  • The 500 year old Hampton Court Palace in East Molesey, Surrey is reputed to be Henry VIII's favourite of all the royal palaces.  Amongst the highlights are the well-preserved Tudor route/tudor kitchens and tudor cookery demonstrations especially around Christmas :and the beautiful 60 acre palace gardens, including the recently restored Privy Garden and Hampton Court Palace Maze!

Kensington Palace

  • Most recently known as the home of Diana, Princess of Wales, Kensington Palace in Chelsea is still one of Britain's working royal palaces: Highlights include the Princess of Wales and Royal Ceremonial dress collections and the beautiful sunken gardens. There is also the Last Debutantes exhibition (Untill March 2010): Kensington Palace takes visitors on a journey into the glamorous and alluring world of the debutante with a new exhibition marking the 50th anniversary of the last court presentations. Fashionable afternoon dresses and ball gowns, including stunning examples of couture by Christian Dior and Pierre Balmain, as well as accessories worn by some of the ‘debs’ during the final Season of 1958 will be displayed in this multimedia exhibition which tells their stories against the backdrop of dramatic social change that heralded the arrival of the swinging sixties.

Tower of London

  • The Tower of London has seen more than 1000 years of royal history, intrigue, murder and plots played out within its ancient walls: Highlights include the Tower of London Ravens, Yeoman of the Guard, Henry : Dressed to Killl exhibition open until the 17 Jan 2010 and the dazzling Crown Jewels.

Banqueting House

  • Formerly part of the Palace of Whitehall, Banqueting House, designed by Inigo Jones in 1619 was the scene of Charles I execution in 1649 and along with beautiful Reubens ceilings, this royal palaces highlights include the very scaffold on which unfortunate Charles lost his life!
