  • The show is included with regular admission and will be presented five times a day at the facility’s 300-seat Astronaut Encounter Theatre.

• Shuttle Launch Experience

Jump onboard the shuttle as guest crew members and take this authentic simulation, replicating the sights, sounds and feelings of a real shuttle launch designed under the guidance of NASA and Veteran Space Shuttle Astronauts.
• Crew members then strap in for launch in the custom designed crew pod. They will see, feel and live the trip. As the cargo bay doors open what follows next, will blow you away, as a breath taking view of Earth from space is upon you.
• PLEASE NOTE - Kennedy Space Center will be closed on the following dates due to planned Shuttle Launches: Feb 12, May 12, May 15, Aug 6, Nov 12, Dec 10.
• NEW: NASA officials have also announced that Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex has been selected to permanently display space shuttle Atlantis upon retirement of the Space Shuttle Program. Atlantis, one of three orbiters in the space shuttle fleet, will fly the last scheduled space shuttle mission before being retired in 2011.
