New for 2011 - Entry to Westminster Abbey!
Entering through the North Door you will be directed to the West End of the Abbey via the North Quire Aisle. A specially produced leaflet will direct you through the church highlighting the major points of interest along the way. The flower displays will remain in place throughout this week and the seating layout will help provide a sense of how Westminster Abbey looked on the 29th April.
The visitor route will follow the one taken by Prince William and Catherine Middleton on their wedding day. From the Great West Door you will walk beneath the Organ Loft, between the Quire stalls and into the Lantern where the Service took place. From here the route will continue through the Royal Chapels and into Poet’s Corner. The Abbey museum and gardens will also be open for your enjoyment and at the end of your stay you can visit the Abbey shop. There will be no audio guides or guided tours during this time but this is a unique opportunity to see the Abbey as it would have been on the day of the Royal Wedding.
