Grand Canyon Overnight Tour – Full Details
Your first stop is at Hoover Dam to appreciate its sheer size and the ingenuity behind its creation. Next you’ll journey to the birthplace of Historic Route 66 and enjoy a brief stop in Williams, home of the Grand Canyon’s famous railway.
Once at the magnificent Grand Canyon itself, carved by the mighty Colorado River over a mind-blowing period of two billion years, you’ll have the choice to stroll along the rim, explore the canyon or take an optional helicopter ‘flightseeing’ ride (extra payable locally).
Alternatively, you can take it easy and simply relax and enjoy the spectacular view over a coffee in one of the rim cafes.
Your guide will lead you to a secret rim ledge where you can enjoy the spectacle of the sun setting over the Grand Canyon away from the crowds.
Your evening can be spent at one of the cosy bars or local restaurants in the small town of Tusayan before retiring for the night and awaking to the sun rising over the canyon – yet another unforgettable sight.
The new day provides many options. Perhaps you’d enjoy a longer half day or full day hike to the rim or in the canyon, or an optional tour to Desert View which sits on the east rim of the National Park? There are also endless photo opportunities and rangers programmes to enjoy before you head back to the bright lights of Vegas after a full day in the Grand Canyon park.
