DAY 1 - New York – Newport (RI) – Hyannis:

You’ll leave New York heading northeast through the state of New York to Connecticut where you’ll make your first stop of the tour at Yale University.

Located in New Haven, Yale University has turned out some of the world’s finest minds, boasting US Presidents, senators, famous lawyers and more amongst former alumni.

The tour continues to Rhode Island, home to the first proper settlement in America.

Take a tour of the harbour birthplace of the Americas Cup Yacht Race, see the incredible mansions built by the rich, famous and uber-wealthy and stop at The Breakers, a magnificent mansion to top them all, built by the Vanderbilt family.

Cape Cod is your next destination. This is where one of America’s modern-day family dynasties, the Kennedy’s, have built their home.

Hyannis in the centre of Cape Cod is where the Kennedy compound and museum is situated. Visit the Kennedy Memorial and stop at the museum for a glimpse into the lives and lifestyle of a family which has been at the forefront of world politics for over 100 years.

Moving on, you’ll visit the Cape Cod Maritime Museum to learn more about the history of the area, before enjoying free time to explore Cape Cod at your own pace.

DAY 2 - Hyannis – Boston – New York:

After an overnight stay at the Clarion Inn and Suites South Yarmouth, you’ll leave Hyannis and travel northwards to Plymouth.

Stop for a visit of the famous Mayflower II and Plymouth Rock before continuing the journey to Boston.

The first stop in Boston is the city of Cambridge, home to one of the most famous and prestigious universities in the world - Harvard.

Take a walk in Harvard Yard, the oldest academic ground in America, see Widener Library and rub the shoe of John Harvard for good luck!

Moving on, enjoy a panoramic tour past the City Hall, MIT and Cambridge College before crossing the Charles River and arriving in the centre of the intellectual capital of the country to visit Copley Square and beautiful Trinity Church.

Next up is a stroll along the Freedom Trail through Boston Common Park before a break for lunch at Quincy Market, famous for its Clam Chowder and lobster rolls.

After lunch, you’ll head to the site of the famous Boston Tea Party and see the navy ship Constitution.

In the late afternoon, you’ll head southwest , bound for an evening arrival in New York.

2 days/1 night. You’ll arrive back in NYC at approximately 7.30pm at the end of Day 2.

Departure Points and Times:

  • All departures up to 31st March 2014: 125 Park Avenue (between 41st and 42nd St.) at 7am.
  • Departures from 1st April 2014: Gray Line Visitor Center, 777 8th Avenue (between 47th and 48th St.) at 7am.
  • Please be at the pick-up point at least 15 minutes before departure time.


Price is PER PERSON for overnight hotel accommodation of twin/double room occupancy including tax and continental breakfast. Child prices (children of 2-12) based on room sharing with adults.
