October is just around the corner and that means Halloween! Bring out the spooky decorations and the scary fancy dresses as we look at some of the UK’s top attractions celebrating this creepy time of year.

Alton Towers

Alton Towers theme park are hosting a Scarefest, where you can explore the park until 9pm, with all the world class rides, live shows and bizarre, mysterious characters all adorned in a spooky atmosphere.

You may also be challenged to navigate the terrifying Scare Mazes which are guaranteed to make you scream. Only the courageous should enter however!

The Scarefest is included with regular ticket purchases, which you can get from our Alton towers page. If you’re willing to take on the additional Scare Mazes then you can buy entrance tickets at the park on the day.

Chessington World of Adventures

The Krypt has come to Chessington World of Adventures where you can explore Wild Asia with wicked witches, gruesome goblins and vile vampires. Thrill seekers will also be able to experience the park’s awesome rides in the dark of night or get face to face with the Zoo’s creepy crawlies.

How about a bit of Trick or Treating in the Market Square, but watch out for the parks spooky residents who have decided to visit on the creepiest of nights.

Thorpe Park

It’s the 10th anniversary of Fright Nights at Thorpe Park this year and it looks like it’s going to be a big one. Thorpe Park has set the scene with their latest rollercoaster, SAW with a terrifying, beyond 90 degree drop. The only thing that could make this scarier is by riding it in the dark!

Thorpe Park are promising a whole different experience once the sun has set and you can ride all the park’s top coasters including Stealth, Colossus and the Nemesis Inferno. Feel like you are up to the challenge? Get your Thorpe Park tickets today!

Warwick Castle

Ever since the Dungeons opened to the public, Warwick Castle has got just that little bit spookier. Now you can explore them in the dark and witness the horrifying medieval methods of medicine and alchemy which would leave you with a little more than just an queasy tummy.

It looks like the Castle has also been overtaken by ghouls and ghosts as 1000 years of history descend into this dimension. It’s not all horrifying though!

London Dungeons

Perhaps one of the most terrifying places in London comes to life this year between the 15th and 31st of October. Stingy Jack, the evil mythical character from Irish folklore, has paid a visit. This mysterious chap has been damned by the devil to walk in darkness for all eternity with his turnip lantern and has somehow found his way into the corridors of the London Dungeons!

Even if you manage to evade Jack, you will have to navigate your way through the hellish labyrinth of mirrors before you can escape. If you dare we have London Dungeon tickets right here for your frightening adventure.
