This summer visitors to PortAventura can enjoy a spectacular new attraction inspired by the Asian jungles: Angkor: Adventure in the Lost Kingdom.

Located in the China area of the resort close to Shambhala (Europe’s highest rollercoaster), Angkor is based on the Cambodian temple of Angkor Wat (meaning “city of temples”), which is considered the world’s largest religious structure and was also used as a location in the film “Tomb Raider”!

A land full of interactive surprises!

Visitors will board rafts equipped with water guns to take on the dangers they will face in the jungle ahead.

Journeying through different areas full of surprises and interactive challenges, riders will encounter mysterious villages, snakes that rise from the river, tigers hidden in caves, monkeys that inhabit ruined temples and magnificent stone elephants.

Passengers can shoot at them with their water jets, or even take aim at the other boats and onlookers!

A European First

Angkor: Adventure in the Lost Kingdom

This new water boat ride is unique in Europe because of its length (300m) as well as its fantastic themed detail.

Angkor: Adventure in the Lost Kingdom covers 10,500m² – almost the equivalent of a complete theme area, and with a journey time of about 10 minutes, it’s one of the longest boat ride attractions in Europe.

PortAventura aims to become the best holiday destination for European families – and this latest addition certainly keeps it firmly at the top of the list!
