Hogwarts Express London

The original Hogwarts Express steam engine will be chugging into “The Making of Harry Potter” Studio Tour in London from March 2015!

The actual train that was used in the Harry Potter film series will be part of a 20,000ft2 expansion at the Warner Bros. Studios, including a recreation of Platform 9¾.

Visitors will be able to climb aboard the famous train and sit in the carriage that was used during filming. Scenes shown through the ‘windows’ will demonstrate how iconic train scenes from the films were created, such as the escape of Harry’s first Chocolate Frog and the Dementor attack.

The Hogwarts Express was the setting for many important events in the series; from Harry, Hermione and Ron’s first meeting in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone to the very last scene, where as adults they wave their own children off to school.

The new Platform 9¾ section, featuring the original Hogwarts Express, will open on Thursday 19th March and entry will be included with standard tickets.
