Welcome to the fascinating underwater world!

At SEA LIFE Munich, young and old alike experience the impressive diversity of the underwater worlds closer than ever before.
The large aquarium located directly in the Olympic Park offers visitors an exciting journey through the mysterious underwater world. The exciting tour, during which more than 3,000 sea creatures can be experienced, starts at the river Isar and ends in the vast waters of the tropical ocean. Through the Danube Delta, the coral cave, the seahorse bay and the Mediterranean port to the Atlantic, visitors can experience the exciting underwater world of the rivers, seas, lakes and swamps of the earth. Special aquariums such as the Atlantic basin with an eight-meter-long ocean tunnel or systems with underwater domes make it possible to discover the shimmering sea creatures up close – without getting soaking wet.

The special WOW experience: With over 20 different shark species such as pyjama cat sharks, zebra sharks or Japanese carpet sharks in the huge ocean basin, the SEA LIFE Munich offers the largest variety of sharks in Germany. Young and old can learn interesting facts about the kings and queens of the seas and take exciting facts home with them. Nurse sharks, for example, literally stack themselves on top of each other, and ‘stacks’ of up to 30 sharks have already been spotted. As another highlight, visitors will encounter the zebra shark lady ‘Pünktchen’, the largest inhabitant of the tropical ocean basin.

In addition to the variety of sharks, SEA LIFE Munich offers other exciting discoveries inside the aquarium: very small residents, such as minnows or doctor fish, can be admired as well as impressively large groupers and sea turtles.
Don’t miss out the daily feedings, where it can often get wild: what is our rays’ favourite food and what do sharks eat? Our aquarists answer all questions about the diverse sea creatures and provide interesting facts and background information during the exciting feeding shows.
