With almost 300 acres of its own, Wild Florida is the largest family-owned wildlife and adventure park in Central Florida, and its attractions include a raised boardwalk through a typical swamp, an extensive alligator park, exotic animal exhibits, and several shows.

Then there is the signature new Drive-Thru Safari Park experience, a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with a variety of animals, both native and imported, including a chance to hand-feed the park’s giraffes. After the gentle 35-mile drive in a comfy, air-conditioned vehicle, which takes around 50 minutes, we arrive in what they like to call “the Middle of Nowhere,” and then the fun really starts. Beginning in the early-morning adventure with the signature 30-minute airboat ride on Cypress Lake, where you are likely to see gators, eagles and other native wildlife on this thrilling flat-bottomed boat that is powered by a giant propellor and feels like flying at ground level!

Then there is time to explore the 14-acre Gator Park and meet a compelling range of animals, from the endangered Florida panther to the adorable lemurs and lovable sloths. This is followed by an inclusive BBQ basket lunch at Wild Florida’s rustic Chomp House diner, with benches set under a lovely, covered pavilion affording glorious lake views. Next, we whisk our group off for the undoubted highlight of the Drive-Thru Safari, where more than 100 native and exotic animals roam free and provide a real feeling of being on the African savanna. Finally, disembark the vehicle for the close-up moment with the giraffes, where everyone gets the opportunity to pass out some tasty snacks to these ever-hungry loafers.

As well as lunch, round-trip transport and the services of our certified guide, this tour also includes a bag of gator feed per person in the Gator Park, and one digital photo per group. The only thing you have to bring is your camera – and your sense of Florida adventure!
