Spend a day in the most beautiful part of west Iceland

Discover the magnificent Snæfellsnes Peninsula and explore Snæfellsnes National Park, the only park in Iceland that starts from the mountains and spreads all the way to the sea shores.

This is your chance walk on Snæfellsjökull glacier - the volcano described in Jules Verne`s Journey to the Centre of the Earth.

Things you’ll see on your trip to the picturesque Snæfellsnes peninsula

  • Marvel the Gerduberg Basalt Columns in the Hnappadalur valley
  • Test the healing powers of the Olkelda mineral water spring
  • Visit the small village of Arnarstapi
  • See the dramatic landscape of Hellnar
  • Take a picture of Kirkjufell – one of the most photographed mountain in Iceland
  • Set foot on Snæfellsjökull glacier – an active volcano
  • Before you head back you’ll make one final stop in the scenic Stykkishólmur village by Breiðafjörður bay
  • Keep an eye out for some the exotic birds that live on the Snæfellsnes peninsula. You could even spot some of the resident seals!

Then, make your way to Djúpalónssandur – a beautiful black-pebbled beach with an amazing view of the sea.

Explore an active volcano!

The highlight of your journey will be the Snæfellsjökull glacier - an active volcano, standing at 1,446 metres high.

In need of an energy boost? You’re in the right place! Some say that the glacier is one of only 7 energy spots in the entire world.
