Learn fascinating facts about the vast history of the city of York from your knowledgeable captain and live guide! Sail leisurely up and downstream whilst taking in the historic sights York has to offer from its bridges to it’s fascinating buildings. Why not treat yourself to a drink at the onboard bar? Cruises depart from the King’s Staith Landing and the Lendal Bridge Landing.

York City Early Evening Cruise

Enjoy an early evening cruise after a busy day discovering this bustling city. Your 1-hour early evening cruise will be complimented by interesting accounts of York’s intriguing and colourful history.

York City Floodlit Evening Cruise

This 70-minute circular cruise is the perfect end to an evening in York. Unwind as you listen to a mixture of jazz and swing background music as the Captain takes you on a journey through the heart of York. The riverbanks of the River Ouse will be illuminated as you glide past and enjoy the beautiful York night sky. Your ticket will include a glass of prosecco on arrival (over 18 years only), or choice of hot drink and biscuit.

York Afternoon Tea Cruise

Relax and admire the scene as you cruise down the river for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Your afternoon tea has been carefully put together to include a selection of dainty home-made sandwiches, fruit scone with preserve & cream and delicious finger desserts. All served with freshly brewed tea and coffee and a complimentary glass of fizz!

York Lunch Cruise

Treat yourself to a delicious 2 course lunch accompanied by the perfect setting during this 1 hour and 45-minute cruise. A warm welcome awaits as you board the ‘Captain James Cook’ and relaxing background music sets the tone as you set sail along the river towards the beautiful Bishopthorpe Palace, home to His Grace, the Archbishop of York. Your lunch includes a buffet-style meal with dessert. Tea and coffee will also be available and commentary from your live guide will leave you feeling stress-free!

Accessibility:

Sightseeing Cruises: We have a fully accessible wheelchair friendly boat (River Duchess) and one with limited wheelchair access (River Palace). All our other vessels have steps onto and into the vessel. Our Kings Staith Landing has a ramped pontoon and is best suited for those with limited mobility. Our Crew are more than happy to assist with boarding if required. Our Lendal Bridge Landing has steps.

Afternoon Tea & Lunch Cruises: Unfortunately, these cruises do not sail on a wheelchair accessible vessel and so there will be some steps before you get to your table.

York City Cruise

  • Availability: Weekends only between 6 to 21 January 2018. Daily between 3 February 2018 to 25 November 2018.
  • Departure Location: The Lendal Bridge and King’s Staith Landings.
  • Departure Times: Kings Staith: 10:30am, 12noon, 1:30pm and 3pm. Lendal Bridge: 10:40am, 12noon, 1:30pm and 3pm. Additional sailings will operate at frequent intervals between these times and often later during busy periods.

York City Early Evening Cruise

  • Availability: Cruises run daily between 3 March 2018 to 3 November 2018.
  • Departure Location: King’s Staith Landings.
  • Departure Time: 7.30pm returning at 8.30pm.

York City Floodlit Evening Cruise

  • Availability: Cruises run daily between 5 May 2018 to 1 September 2018.
  • Departure Location: King’s Staith Landings.
  • Departure Time: 9.15pm returning at 10.25pm.

York Afternoon Tea Cruise

  • Availability: Cruises run Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sundays between 1 April to 27 May 2018, 2 June to 29 July 2018 and 1-30 September 2018. Also daily between 2-6 April 2018, 28 May to 1 June 2018 and 30 July to 31 August 2018.
  • Departure Location: King’s Staith Landings.
  • Departure Time: 2.45pm returning at 4.30pm.

York Lunch Cruise

  • Availability: Cruises run Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sundays between 1 April to 27 May 2018, 2 June to 29 July 2018 and 1-30 September 2018. Also daily between 2-5 April 2018, 28 May to 1 June 2018 and 30 July to 31 August 2018.
  • Departure Location: King’s Staith Landings.
  • Departure Time: 11.45am returning at 1.30pm.
