Downton Abbey Town & Country Film Locations Tour

Fans of Downton Abbey just can’t miss this tour of filming locations from the series, including Downton Village, Kirkbymoorside and the home of Mr Drewe!

Discover some of the wonderful scenery, villages and historic properties that have been used in Downton Abbey, and get an exclusive insight into the making of the show.

Morning

Starting in central London you’ll visit the popular filming site the Inns of Court. Follow in the footsteps of Mr Bricker & Cora when they go for a walk and see the café where Tom spies Lady Rose out with the Jazz singer, Jack Ross plus other London sites. After you have explored London, it is time to head out to the countryside.

Lunch and Afternoon

Have a spot of cream tea at the property that was used as the filming location for Yew Tree Farm in series 4 and 5. This was the home of Mr Drewe, the struggling tenant who agreed to help secretly raise Lady Edith’s illegitimate daughter.

You’ll make a short stop off at ‘Kirkbymoorside’ where Anna’s bus splashed through the stream outside the pub where Bates worked when he left Downton Abbey. You’ll also pass the pub where Branson and Sybil eloped in Series 2.

Next you’ll journey into the heart of rural Oxfordshire visit several villages that have been used in the world of Downton Abbey. In Downton Village you’ll take a guided tour of familiar places such as Downton hospital, the village pub, the former home of Matthew Crawley and the local church. Following this guided tour, you’ll have some time to explore the area at your own leisure.
