Muir Woods and Sausalito Tour
Muir Woods and Sausalito Tour
Escape the city for a half-day adventure that takes you from the bustling streets of San Francisco to the peaceful serenity of Muir Woods National Monument. This tour includes a drive over the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, offering breathtaking views of San Francisco’s skyline and Alcatraz Island, followed by a visit to the towering redwoods in Muir Woods. Conclude your journey with a scenic drive through the charming town of Sausalito, where you can shop, dine, or simply take in the stunning views of the bay.
Kick off your journey from San Francisco’s Fisherman's Wharf, where you’ll board a comfortable bus and head towards Muir Woods National Monument. As you cross the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, you’ll be treated to incredible views of the city and the bay, making this one of the most picturesque drives in the world.
Muir Woods is a nature lover's paradise, home to some of the tallest and oldest redwood trees on Earth. As you wander through the peaceful groves, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into another world—one where time slows down and nature takes centre stage. With trails for every level of hiker, you can choose a path that suits your pace and immerse yourself in the tranquil beauty of this ancient forest.
After about 1.5 hours in Muir Woods, we’ll continue to Sausalito, a quaint town known for its Mediterranean feel, boutique shops, and stunning views of the San Francisco skyline. You’ll have time to explore the charming streets, visit art galleries, or enjoy a meal at one of the seaside cafes. If you prefer, you can stay in Sausalito and return to San Francisco by ferry (ferry tickets not included), or simply relax and enjoy the scenic ride back on the bus.
