If you’d like to learn how to scuba dive, there’s no better place than the warm, clear waters of the Red Sea.
This four-day PADI open water course is ideal if you’re serious about learning how to scuba dive. At the end of the course, you’ll be able dive up to 18m anywhere in the world without a dive professional present.
Operating for over 10 years in Sharm El Sheikh, Ocean College is a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre, a BSAC premier resort and a TDI technical instructor training facility.
The first two days of the course are devoted to practice in the confined waters of beautiful Naama Bay or the instruction pool.
Here experienced dive instructors will teach you all the essentials as well as the theory of diving.
The third day sees you taking the plunge with two exciting dives around one of the fabulous coral reefs in Naama Bay.
The fourth day, you’ll head out on a boat for two dives at the best local open-water sites.
Your dive instructor, who will be on-hand throughout all your dives, will introduce you to the teeming marine life, brightly-coloured coral, swaying sponge gardens and shimmering tropical fish that you’ll encounter along the way.
On completion of the course, you’ll be qualified to dive to 18 metres depths with a dive ‘buddy’ rather than a dive professional, anywhere in the world for the rest of your life!

Ocean College PADI Open Water Dive Course - 4 Days – Key Info
- IMPORTANT:
- It is essential that you take your passport, or you may not be allowed onto the boat.
- If you are diving at Ras Mohamed, Thistlegorm or Dunraven you will also need the full Egyptian Tourist Visa.
- Duration:
- Four full days.
- Departure Location:
- Hotels in Sharm El Sheikh.
- What to Take:
- Please take a swimsuit, towel, water, sun-cream and money for lunch.
- Restrictions:

- You will be required to fill in a short medical questionnaire before travelling to Eygpt; this is essential before you are allowed to take the diving course. The details of this will be included in your e-ticket once you have made your booking.
- You must be able to float for 10 minutes and swim for 200m.
- A liability release must be signed by all divers (and also signed by a parent/guardian for under 18s).
- 10 and 11 year-olds are restricted to dives with a maximum depth of 12m.
- This experience unsuitable for pregnant women.
