Pamukkale - From Antalya and Kemer – Full Details

You’ll be collected from your hotel early in the morning to start the scenic journey to Pamukkale, travelling over the Taurus Mountains and Lake Salda en route.

Pamukkale, with its dazzling white, stalactite ‘castles’, is a magical natural site, unique in the world, situated close to the ruins of Hierapolis.

Warm, calcium rich thermal spring waters which have run off the edge of a nearby plateau for millions of years created Pamukkale’s fantastic fairyland of stalactites, cataracts and basins which attract visitors from all over the world.

Whilst in Pamukkale, swim in pools filled with warm, soothing thermal waters, explore the white limestone terraces and relax in hot springs which have been used since Roman times for their therapeutic powers.

After lunch (included), you’ll head to the ancient city of Hierapolis, built in the 2nd century BC as a thermal spa.

On the journey back to your hotel, take a break in Tavas at a carpet factory where you’ll learn what it takes to create traditional, hand-woven and hand-loomed Turkish carpets.
