Future Plans for Disneyland Paris

With Disneyland Paris celebrating its 20th year, the park’s looking forward to the future and has already got a firm idea of the new attractions and rides, which we can expect to open over the next few years.

With an investment of around 250 million euros, the plans are going to be big with a multi-year expansion anticipated. The Chief Executive Officer of Euro Disney S.C.A., Philippe Gas, has made a couple of announcements about the park’s future already.

After the success of the Toy Story interactive ride in Hollywood Studios, Orlando, which opened in August 2012, Gas explains that Disneyland Paris could be expecting something similar. Disney fans are speculating whether it could be a migration of Toy Story Mania, the interactive shooting gallery dark ride.

Star Tours 2: The Adventure Continues will also be updated in 2013, bringing 3D and the varying storylines with it, very much like the updated version in the Hollywood and Orlando parks last year.

Along with these updaes, Disneyland Paris will also have a new French themed area expected for 2014 which will be based on a famous Disney movie. This comes before the official announcement of the much anticipated Ratatouille dark ride, where it will most likely be located.

One addition that will be arriving over the next few months is a new meet and greet section in Fantasyland and a brand new retail store in Disney Village.

We’ll be keeping an ear open for more news on the future attractions coming to Disneyland Paris over the next few years, so watch this space.
