Things to do in Dublin on St. Patrick’s Day 2015!
St. Patrick’s Day is less than a week away – and where better to celebrate than the Irish Capital!
This year’s festivities kick off TOMORROW (14th March) and continue right up until the 17th. If you’re lucky enough to be visiting Dublin this weekend, here are just some of the events happening throughout the city that you won’t want to miss…
St. Patrick’s Day at the Guinness Storehouse
Head on over to the home of “The Black Stuff” for delicious food, live music and of course – Guinness!
Soak up the atmosphere with fellow fans in the Rugby Hub, before making your way over to the Gravity Bar to check out some fabulous views of the city below.

Jameson Whiskey Tour
Why not celebrate Ireland’s national holiday by learning how its most popular whiskey is made! You’ll even receive a free glass of Jameson’s at the end of your tour (as long as you’re over 18!)
Dublin Zoo
There’s more to St. Paddy’s day than just drinking – the whole family can join in the fun at Dublin Zoo, which will be transformed into a magical playground full of leprechauns and fairies!
Kids will love getting creative with fun arts and crafts sessions happening throughout the day, while everyone can enjoy special talks from some of the zoo’s keepers.

The St Patrick’s Festival (14th – 17th March)
The famous St. Patrick’s Festival returns for another year – and it’s bigger and bolder than ever before! With street theatre, treasure hunts and plenty of dancing – there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Some of the events and entertainment on offer during the Festival include:
St Patrick’s Festival Parade (12pm, Tuesday 17th March)
This year’s colourful procession starts its journey at Parnell Square and finishes just past St Patrick’s Cathedral. Crowds can get a little busy so arrive early to make sure you get a good spot!
Irish Beer and Whiskey Festival
A true celebration of everything Irish, where you’ll find plenty of delicious beers, cider and whiskey! The event kicks off at 12.30pm daily (Saturday to Tuesday) and is held completely indoors – so there’s no need to worry about the weather!
Entry is €10 per person, which includes a free half pint and souvenir glass!
Big Day Out (12-6pm, Sunday 15th March)
This day-long street carnival in Merrion Square includes theatrical performances, a puzzle playground for the little ones and an Urban Farm where you can meet all sorts of animals including llamas, donkeys, hamsters and bunnies! Even better – entry is completely FREE!
Greening the City
At 6pm every evening look out for some of Dublin’s most iconic buildings (include the Guinness Storehouse, The National Museum of Ireland and St Patrick’s Cathedral) lit up in green against the night sky!
