About this experience

A visit to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum is one of the most profoundly significant and moving experiences in Europe. This expert-guided tour from Krakow takes you to the largest Nazi concentration and extermination camp in history - where over 1.1 million women, men, and children lost their lives between 1940 and 1944, around 90% of whom were Jewish. With round-trip transport from Krakow, skip-the-line access, and a licensed professional guide included, this is the most comprehensive and respectful way to learn about the history of the Holocaust and honour the memory of those who perished here.

What's Included:

  • Round-Trip Transport from Krakow: Return transportation from the designated Krakow meeting point to Auschwitz-Birkenau and back.

  • Skip-the-Line Access: Bypass the queues with included skip-the-line entry to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum.

  • Licensed Professional Guide: An experienced, licensed museum guide will accompany your group throughout the tour, sharing detailed historical knowledge and the stories of the camp's victims.

  • Headsets: Provided where appropriate at Auschwitz I Main Camp for clear audio commentary throughout your visit.

  • Auschwitz I Main Camp: A visit to the permanent exhibitions and original camp buildings at the main Auschwitz complex.

  • Auschwitz II Birkenau: A visit to the most important original camp buildings and sites at Auschwitz II Birkenau, including the ruins of the gas chambers and crematoria.

  • Entrance Ticket: Full entry to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum included.

  • Short Breaks: Short breaks of 10-20 minutes between sections of the tour.

Sites Visited:

  • Auschwitz I - Main Camp: permanent exhibitions, original camp buildings, and the stories of the prisoners held here

  • Auschwitz II - Birkenau: the most important original buildings and sites at the largest extermination centre in the Nazi camp system
