The Mistletoe line is a journey across London with stops off at some of the city’s most romantic places, perfect for taking a date especially during the festive season. I’ve selected something for everyone ranging from cosy cocktail dens to a trip in the London Eye with its unmissable views over London. Get on board and choose your stop…

1. Ruby’s Dalston

Located below the cinema sign in Dalton, Ruby’s is without doubt my favourite cocktail bar in the East End if not the whole of London. The basement drinking den is intimate with low lighting and has just launched a winter cocktail list which makes it the perfect place for any couple to spend a night cosying up together with a hot Santa’s Tipple.

2. The London Eye

There’s nothing quite as romantic as a ride on the London Eye, sure to win over any date even one that’s not going so well. I mean, who can resist that scenery, looking out across a frosty London with Christmas lights shining bright, and with a full 30 minute loop you’re bound to have won them over by the time it ends.

3. Chessington World of Adventures

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of going to the theme park – seriously who doesn’t love the thrill of the roller coaster? A great ice breaker and really fun date, this should be on everyone’s list of Top Dates.

4. London Aquarium

There’s no denying it, everyone loves a trip to the Aquarium, and the one in London is pretty spesh. Stroll through the underground kingdom whilst looking out for Nemo then at the Shark Walk watch as your date holds on tight – getting up close without making the first move? Winning!

5. Hackney City Farm

Impress a date with some carol singing and spiced cider at the Hackney City Farm’s Christmas Fair and they’ll think there’s more to you than just food and booze. Feed the donkey, pat the goats and smell the massive pigs while soaking up the Christmassy atmosphere. Then afterwards pop into the cafe and enjoy some homemade, organic treats. Culture vulture? They’ll think so.

6. Champagne and Fromage, Covent Garden/Brixton

Two of the finest things in life, a date at Champagne and Fromage quaffing bubbles and cheese are bound to impress any date. This small deli come bistro has walls fully stocked with champagne – close your eyes and you could be in Paris, the city of love. Plus they do bottles to take away and who doesn’t want a vintage bottle of bubbly under their tree? Just don’t blame us for your bill.

7. Winter Wonderland Hyde Park

I don’t care how tacky it is, a date at Winter Wonderland with mulled wine, ice-skating, a big dirty sausage and ride on the big wheel is the ultimate winner. I just wish it stayed year round!

Each of the stops make the perfect place for a date but as there’s still plenty of time left this festive season why not complete the line. After 7 of these killer dates hopefully you won’t need mistletoe to guarantee a kiss or two!
