At the 850 feet (260 m) high top, you’ll step into wide the, 9,500 square feet the largest of any observatory of open viewing spaces with panoramic views stretching across New York City.   • We offer timed slots and we will book your tickets within your selected time period.
  • The Top of the Rock is open 7 days a week, all year round.
  • Open from 8am – Midnight. The last elevator goes up at 11pm.

Entrance slots are available every 5 minutes. Please select the time window that suits your visit best and we will endeavour to book your tickets within that time slot.

When is the last elevator to the top? 

You can hop on up to the top deck until 1 hour before closing time. 

  • The main entrance to the Top of the Rock is located on 50th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues.
  • Top of the Rock is a three level observation deck that consists of the 67th, 69th, and 70th floors of 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
  • Total surface area of all the decks together is approximately 55,000 square-feet (5,110 m²). The upper deck is 850 feet (260 m) above street level.

Top of the Rock is wheelchair-friendly, stroller-friendly, and service animal-friendly. Plus, there are printed transcripts and audio headsets available upon request. 

Inside 7 days of your selected ticket date, you will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

Tickets aren’t refunded due to weather, but you can speak to the staff on-site, and they may be able to reschedule your ticket for another day, depending on availability. 

There is no time limit as to how long you can spend on the observation decks during operating hours. The average length of stay is about 45 minutes – 1 hour.
