Whale Watching - Iceland

Go Whale Watching in Iceland’s Faxaflói Bay and experience the wonder of seeing minke and humpback whales, the harbor porpoise and white-beaked dolphins in their beautiful natural environment!

And bird-lovers won’t be disappointed either - the wide variety of natural life around the bay includes birds such as the gannet, Arctic tern, puffin and gulls of many types.

During the tour, knowledgeable English-speaking guides will tell you what to look out for and where you are most likely to see it.

As with all wildlife tours, how much you’ll see on the day depends on the conditions and season, but Faxaflói Bay is not short on wildlife at any time of year!

After the tour, explore the Whale Exhibition Center. Set in an old capelin-fishing vessel, the Fífill, the centre is filled with fascinating exhibits and information about the whales and seabirds which inhabit Faxaflói Bay and the surrounding areas.

Whether you’ve been on a wildlife cruise before or not – don’t miss out – no two whale watching trips are ever the same!
