Over 60 hands-on exhibits give visitors the opportunity to try a variety of activities. From operating a wind tunnel to taking part in a pit stop to climbing into a replica Grand Prix car.
In addition to the hands-on fun, the museum features some of the most iconic cars and bikes that have played a part in the 70-year history of Silverstone including Mansell’s iconic “Red 5”, an E.R.A from the first ever Grand Prix and Barry Sheene’s 1979 Suzuki motorbike.
A thrilling immersive film show – the ultimate lap of Silverstone – brings together some of the circuit’s most famous racing moments and is the perfect way to round off each visit inside the museum.
Step outside the rear of the museum and onto the old race track and catch a glimpse of the action on the current circuit. Take your time and have some refreshments in the café where you can sit overlooking the circuit. This is a great experience that everyone will enjoy.

Silverstone McLaren Driving Experience

Built on the framework of McLaren’s most successful GT race car, the 570S GT4, the 620R is a true track monster and the fastest car in the Drive Silverstone line-up.
A car with this much motorsport heritage needs space to stretch its legs, perfect for leaving speed restrictions to the road and putting the pedal to the metal at the home of the British Grand Prix. Whatever the occasion, they’ll be delighted to receive this epic driving day.

- Participants need to have held a full manual driving licence for at least three years, kindly note your licence must be presented on the day.
- Kindly note, if you are deemed under the influence of alcohol or drugs on the day you will not be able to participate in this experience.
- Participants must be physically fit. Driving experiences are not suitable for those that are pregnant or suffer from epilepsy, high blood pressure or heart problems.
- Spectators are welcome – Children must be supervised at all times.
- No animals (other than pre-confirmed assistance dogs) are allowed on site.
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary.
- The centres contracted with us hold public indemnity liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. Please ensure you are familiar with the terms and conditions of the experience.
- This experience runs on selected weekends from March to November.
- We recommend you book at least 4 weeks in advance to ensure dates are available. All bookings subject to availability.
- Please allow approximately 2 hours at the venue, the actual time spent in the cars depends on speed and individual ability.

To find the museum by sat nav please use NN12 8TN
It’s easy to find Silverstone Interactive Museum, just follow signs to Silverstone Circuit.
Please then follow the yellow signs with a blue dot for access into the car park from the Dadford road.
Car parking is avaliable free of charge in the front of the building, in car park 49
