Kennedy Space Center Astronaut Training Experience (ATX™)

In the Astronaut Training Experience (ATX), join the crew as you launch a mission simulation including launching, landing and walking on Mars and experience microgravity.
There’s no better experience for budding space enthusiasts looking to see if they have what it takes to be the next-generation of astronauts!

All Astronaut Training Experience Simulators:
For safety, you should be in good health and free from high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness, or other conditions that could be aggravated by this experience. Expectant mothers should not participate.
Lander/Rover Simulator: Those who have had recent surgery or injury should not ride. Participants must be at least 51 inches/1/3 meters tall.
Walk on Mars Virtual Reality: If you experience seizures, loss of awareness, eye strain, altered vision or other visual abnormalities, dizziness, disorientation, or any symptom related to motion sickness, you should not participate. Guests who have pre-existing binocular vision abnormalities should not participate.
Spacewalk Training: Participants must be at least 48 inches/1.22 meters tall. Max weight 275 pounds/127 kilograms.
Restrictions:
- You must be age 10 years or older to participate in this experience. Trainees that are ages 10 – 17 will require a paying, participating adult.
- Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex admission is not included, but trainees do not need daily admission to experience ATX.
- The ATX is approximately a 5 hour activity and it is recommended that you plan a second day and purchase daily admission if you wish to visit Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex’s attractions and exhibits, to experience Kennedy Space Center in full.
- Start times varying by season.
- Height and weight restrictions will apply on certain simulators
- The ATX Experience is not suitable for those with neck or back injuries

- Please arrive at bus embarkation about 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time.

Explore on your own before taking any visitor complex tour bus back to the main visitor complex. It is recommended allotting about an additional hour for the Apollo/Saturn V Center and about 15 minutes for the return journey.

How far is Kennedy Space Center from Orlando?
Kennedy Space Center is located in the city of Cape Canaveral, Florida, just off the SR 405
It’s about 1-2 hours’ drive from Orlando depending on traffic – perfect for a day trip!
Parking:
Parking is not included with your ticket. The prices for parking per day are as follows:
- Cars: $10
- Motorcycles: $5
- Motor homes, RVs or other oversized vehicles: $15
Disabled parking spaces are available at the same prices, but please note you must possess a valid access parking permit to park here.
The car park will open 30 minutes before the Visitor Complex opens.
