Fed up of sightseeing by foot? If so, the Canal & Aperitivo Experience - Venice Food & Wine Tour could be the thing for you! Feel like one of the locals as you take a boat taxi through Venice’s hidden canals to sample some of Italy’s finest food and wine.

You’ll want to make sure you have your camera handy, as your ride past the Rialto, San Marco and local neighbourhood, Cannaregio.

Enjoy a boat ride along the spectacular Grand Canal

Get a real taste of Venice as you glide along its many waterways, passing through the most spectacular parts of the city.

Ready and raring to go, you’ll meet the rest of your group at the Rialto Fish Market Pier, the oldest area in Venice, where you’ll start your tour.

From here, you’ll have the chance to hop inside a Venetian taxi boat which will take you along the Grand Canal and beneath the famous Rialto Bridge – a must for anyone eager to see the classic Venice view.

Along the way, you’ll be able to catch a glimpse of the most historical city hospital and the cemetery island of San Michele too!

You’ll then drift through the Cannaragio area -  once home to the Jewish Ghetto – where you’ll get to see the stunning Maddona dell’Orto Church and Campo dei Mori.

Sample delicious local food & wine

You’ll also have the opportunity to whet your appetite with some of Italy’s finest food and wine.

Once you’ve crossed the Canal Grande, you’ll head to San Marco Bay where you’ll taste local wine, sip some prosecco and be able to sample some homemade Cicchetti as the sun goes down.

You’ll then finish your tour at San Marco Square where your tour-guide will give you the heads up on where to go.
