York Boat Hire

Availability:

Daily between 24 March 2018 to 4 November 2018.

Departure Location:

King’s Staith Landings.

Departure Times:

Available between 10am and 12noon on weekdays and between 10am and 11.30am on weekends and bank holidays.

Duration:

1 hour.

Accessibility:

Unfortunately, the Red Boats do not sail on a wheelchair accessible landing and so there will be some steps down to and onto the boats.

IMPORTANT:

• A minimum, returnable cash security bond of £40.00 is required for all hires upon arrival. The security bond will be retained by City Cruises York if any of the conditions of hire are breached by the customer.
• A maximum of 8 people are permitted per boat.
• Red Boats cannot be taken past Clifton Bridge or the Millennium Bridge. You are not allowed to moor the boat up and disembark at any point on the river other than at our Red Boat Hire Point at King’s Staith.
• The person hiring the Red Boat must be at least 18 years old and be able to provide a valid means of ID.
• Life jackets are available and must be worn by children aged 10 and under.
• People under the influence of alcohol are not permitted on board and no alcohol is to be taken on board.
• Passengers are welcome to bring a picnic and soft drinks along with you to enjoy on board.
• Once you have pre-booked online you will still be required to meet the conditions of hire on arrival at the jetty. If you are deemed to not meet the conditions of hire you will not be allowed hire the boat.
