See the Eternal City on an easy three-hour walking tour in the company of an expert English-speaking guide.
Walk through Rome’s cobblestone alleyways and picturesque piazzas and see some of the most fascinating and historically important sights in the world – all in one leisurely afternoon stroll.
You’ll begin at the Spanish Steps, one of the most atmospheric places in the city.
From here, you’ll pass the Via Condotti shopping area and charming Sant’Andrea della Fratte Church, walking along cobbled streets to the Trevi Fountain.
Your guide will explain the strange history behind this famous monument, including the reason why there’s one spot from which the entire fountain is obscured.
Stop for a coffee break deep in the heart of Rome where narrow, labyrinthine streets branch off in every direction, before continuing your walk to the Pantheon with its famous oculus, an ‘eye to the sky’ opening in the roof through which the rain falls and sun shines.
Here you can see Raphael’s tomb and discover the real cause of this famous artists death!
Close by in Piazza Navona, reputedly the most beautiful square in the city, you’ll see spectacular Renaissance buildings and Bernini’s incredible Fountain of Four Rivers sculpture.
The tour ends at the perfect place to continue your exploration of Rome independently – Campo dei Fiori.
During the day a colourful flower market dominates this pretty square but at night, it becomes one of the city’s hottest social spots and a great place to people-watch.
Near the metro station entrance in Piazza di Spagna under the palm trees in the piazza next to the red ‘M’ sign. Your City Wonders coordinators will be wearing blue City Wonders polo shirts or jackets for easy recognition.
