Experience one of the world’s most iconic cities and with over 47 stops, there is no better way to discover London than on the double decker buses. Choose from of our 3 tickets designed to give you a great overview of this fantastic city.

You will see all the major landmarks and highlights of London, including the Tower of London, London Eye, St Paul’s Cathedral, Tower Bridge, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and much much more!

The Red Route offers a live guide on board so you will be able to listen to their stories and the history of this city as told from the perspective who knows everything there is to know about London. Don’t forget to hop off the bus at any stop you like to take a close up look at what takes your eye and then simply hop back on when you are finished.

On the Blue, Orange and Green routes, there is recorded commentary so just sit back, relax and take in your surroundings in a choice of 12 languages!

The Hop-on, hop-off function enables you get on and off all around the city so you can visit the exciting places at your leisure and then re-join the tour when you are finished.

Important Information:

Red Route:

Operates daily, all year round except for Christmas Day. This route covers the best of central London and has 23 stops starting at Green Park, outside Green Park underground station, and runs every 5-10 minutes in the summer and 10-20 minutes during the winter from approximately 8am until 8.10pm, the tour lasts approx. 3 hours. Enjoy commentary from a live English-speaking guide on board or listen to recorded commentary in 12 different languages.

Blue Route:

Operates daily, except for Christmas Day. This route covers the West of London and has 14 stops starting at Marble Arch. It runs every 10-20 minutes from approximately 8.10am until 6.30pm. The tour lasts approx. 1 hour 15 minutes.

Orange Route:

Operates daily, all year round except for Christmas Day. This route provides a direct connection between Madame Tussauds and London’s Southbank attractions. It has 11 stops starting at Baker Street. It runs every 15-20 minutes from approximately 9.00am until 6.30pm. The tour lasts approx. 1.5 hours (45 minutes each way)

Green Route:

Operates daily, all year round except for Christmas Day. The route has 10 stops starting at Kings Cross, Pancras Way, and runs every 20-30 minutes from approximately 8.20am until 5.45pm. The tour lasts approx. 1 hour 15 mins.

Timings are always subject to change and traffic dependent so please do check with a member of Big Bus Staff locally if you are unsure. 

Added Extras:

Walking Tour:

Tour begins at 10:30am every day from Trafalgar Square (stop #9 – red route). The walk lasts around 90 minutes with a guide and is themed around the Royal Family. On days when there is a Changing of the Guard, your guide will walk you directly to Buckingham Palace to see this traditional ceremony for yourself before completing a short tour back to Trafalgar Square.

River Cruise:

You can board the river cruise at: Tower Pier (near stop #16); Greenwich Pier; Westminster Pier (near stop #18) or London Eye Pier (near stops #12). This is a return cruise between Westminster Pier and Greenwich. The cruise departs approximately every 20 mins during summertime and 30-40 mins in winter.
