You’ll be whisked from your hotel at sunrise by a Mercedes Benz before being dropped off outside the ancient Mayan city of Chichen Itza. The tour begins early to avoid any crowds and beat the worst of the heat—and because it’s easier to feel part of history in a group of six instead of a crowd of hundreds!

After enjoying a light breakfast, you’ll witness and have the chance to partake in a ritual performed by a Mayan priest. Your certified Archaeology Historian will greet you at the gates of Chichen Itza and show your small group around the most stunning parts of the city, including the smaller temples, Great Ball Court, and the mammoth El Castillo pyramid.

After exploring this city brimming with history, you’ll head to the Mayan Planetarium at the Mayaland Resort to see ‘Maya Skies’, a 30-minute planetarium show so you can discover more about Ancient Mayan life and culture—from blood sacrifices to ball games, jaguar gods to feathered serpents.

Enjoy a mouthwatering meal at any of the resort’s fine restaurants, which offer a variety of local and continental cuisine before your Mercedes arrives to take you back to your hotel.
